to the site dedicated to The Bedford (Leigh) Band. The North West Area's band of the 1980s. They formed in 1875 as The St. Thomas' Band Bedford (becoming Bedford Church in 1894), holding rehearsals in the School behind St. Thomas' Church on Chapel Street Leigh. The band broke up sometime in the early 1990s.

Some of you may wonder why a picture of The Brewery Inn is featured on the band's home page. There are many that won't. This is where the members of the band met for many years and over many pints, the bands politics were debated. There are many bandsmen and women that have many fond memories of their time as members of "Bedford". It is this site that may be the nucleus to bring them together once again.
